Habitat: River bottom forest, with Acer saccharinum, Ulmus americana, Populus deltoides, Laportea canadensis. Partially shaded area between river bottom forest and large Scirpus fluviatilis open area. Dense stands of Polygonum coccineum, with Echinocystis lobata, Polygonum pensylvanicum, Galium tinctorium, scattered Salix amygdaloides.
