Habitat: Narrow band of southern mesic forest (Quercus borealis dominant, w/ Tilia americana, Prunus serotina, Juglans nigra, Betula papyrifera) on gentle slope between old sandy field and creek bottom cattail marsh in hollow. More or less dry upper edge. Assoc. spp. Equisetum arvense, Desmodium glutinosum, Circaea lutetiana ssp. canadensis, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, and P. inserta.
