Habitat:
Marshy edge of town road and long ungrazed marsh with brushy patches of Salix spp., Cornus stolonifera, C. racemosa, with Verbena hastata, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Calamagrostis canadensis, Leersia oryzoides, Lactuca canadensis, Pycnanthemum virginianum. The area emitting a foul stench from large amounts of organic sludge being dumped in it. Mostly past blooming. Pleasantly minty-fragrant. Flowers white.
