Habitat: White-cedar/black ash swamp. Wet, mossy. Also with red maple, yellow birch, Toxicodendron radicans, Dryopteris cristata, Cinna latifolia, Lycopus uniflora, Cypripedium calceolus, and Senecio aureus.
