Habitat:
Loamy soil on side of steep stoney slope. Good quality Quercus alba-Q. borealis forest, w/ Ulmus americana & Prunus serotina, the Cirsium in semi-shade of an old logging road, where assoc. with a mixture. of weedy native species: Campanula americana, Circaea quadrisulcata, Aster shortii, A. lateriflorus. Corollas pale lavender (white at base), fading whitish. Sheet 5 of 5. Extra lower leaves from a second plant.
