Habitat: Low flat prairie along lake. Marly clay with moist sedgy depressions and sparse vegetation in flat prairie. With Lysimachia quadriflora, Rhynchospora capillacea, Scleria verticillata, Cladium mariscoides, Eleocharis elliptica, Allium cernuum,. Gentiana crinita, Tofielda glutinosa, Aster ptarmicoides, Solidago riddellii, Gerardia spp., Calamintha glabella, Lobelia kalmiana, etc. Rich mesic to moist, very dense prairie with Andropogon scoparius, Sorgastrum nutans, Panicum virgatum,
