Taxon: Tagetes patula L.
Family: Asteraceae
Collector: Nee, M.; Hansen, Bruce F.   14540
Date: 1976-09-13
Verbatim Date: 1976-09-13
Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Dane, Just off Hwy 14 along road to proposed landfill site (project now defunct for last two years).
43.09295586  -89.5961024 +-569m.
Verbatim Coordinates: T07N R08E sec07 SW4;
Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: In unshaded bulldozed (probably a few years ago) limestone gravel. With Aster pilosus, Bidens cernua, Solidago altissima, Verascum thapsus, Melilotus. A half dozen plants. This is apparently a legitimate escape; there are no other cultivated plants in the vicinity and it appears very unlikely that these have been deliberatly planted here. The species is, of course, a very commonly planted ornamental
