Habitat: Abandoned gravel pit in glacial drift, dry, mostly open with much bare sand and gravel, but some invasion of young Ulmus pumila, Populus deltoides, Lonicera x bella, Morus alba, etc. Quite weedy with Artemisia caudata, Poa spp., Androace occidentalis,. Holosteum umbellatum (rare), Lithospermum incisum, and much Meliotus. common in places on open gravel
