Habitat:
Growing along the road in a sheltered pocket surrounded by Typha latifolia. Assoc.: Glyceria spp., incl. G. striata, Poa palustris, Sagittaria latifolia, Sparganium eurycarpum, and Asclepias incarnata. Clone spreading rapidly by densely shooted rhizomes. Tips of some rhizomes contained bulblets or shoots that might easily become detached. Some pls were attached to loose organic substrate on patch edges, but most pls of interior were floating in a mat.
