Habitat: Large virgin wet-mesic prairie (25acres), quite flat w/ seasonally flooded shallow depressions, surrounded by ag lands on all sides. Soil: dark-colored loam with sandy clayey loam subsoil & large amount of organic matter. Assoc. Sphenopholis intermedia,.
