Habitat:
Rich Acer saccharum, Tilia, Quercus bor. woods with limestone cliffs and boulders. This is a very rich ungrazed Acer saccharum-Tilia americana on a moderate slope, with some Juglans nigra and Carya cordiformis near the bottom and. Quercus borealis near the top. There is a 20 ft. high limestone cliff near the top of the slope and other outcrops and boulders also occur. Trees are in the 10-20" range, with the larger trees at the base of the cliff.
