Wet open meadowlike clearing on periphery of well-developed Ulmus-Fraxinus-Thuja-Larix swamp. Assoc.: Equisetum fluviatile (abundant), Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens, Carex lacustris, C. stricta, Symplocarpus foetidus, Caltha palustris, Impatiens. biflora, Pedicularis lanceolata, Cicuta maculata, Viola cucullata, Aster puniceus, and Solidago patula. Peat- and marl-filled, post-glacial lake basin.
