Habitat:
In shallow water with slurpy bottom of decaying organic matter, swampy wetland fringe of pond in morainal depression; under Alnus incana subsp. rugosa and Ilex verticillata with Carex comosa, C. leptalea, Dulichium arundinaceum, Eleocharis erythropoda, Lemna minor, Lycopus uniflorus, Sagittaria latifolia, and Spirodela polyrhiza.
