Habitat: Toward deep water side where floating lvd. plants give way to submerged. Very diverse aquatic community (ca. 56 vasc. pl. spp. seen) in se. corner of lake; intermingled emergent (Pontederia cordata, Dulichium arundinaceum), floating (Ceratophyllum demersum, Utricularia geminiscapa, U. vulgaris, Lemnaceae) or floating-leaved (Nuphar variegata, Nymphaea odorata, Brasenia schreberi, Potamogeton natans), and submerged basal rosette (Najas flexilis, Sagittaria cuneata) or flexuous-stemmed (Heteranthera dubia, Vallisneria americana, Scirpus subterminalis) aquatics giving way in deeper water to six entirely submersed Potamogeton spp. (P. friesii, P. strictifolius, P. pusillus, P. amplif.).
