Growing in Boreal Forest with Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Aralia nudicaulis, Cornus sericea, Crataegus chrysocarpus, Lonicera canadensis, Salix humilis, Viburnum rafinesquianum, Anemone quinquefolia, Antennaria parlini, Carex castanea, C. pedunculata, Luzula acuminata, Mitchella repens, Viola labradorica, etc.
