Habitat:
Firm muck bottoms in 0-0.5 meters of water. Common assoc.: (Sagittaria latifolia) common arrowhead, (Pontederia cordata) pickerelweed, (Nymphaea odorata) white water lily, (Zizania palustris) northern wild rice.
Notes:
Scattered beds were located along the shore in the north bays. It was extremely rare in the south basin.
