Habitat: Located floating or just under the surface in stagnant bays. Common assoc.: (Nymphaea odorata) white water lily, (Nuphar variegata) spatterdock, (Ceratophyllum demersum) coontail, (Potamogeton pusillus) small pondweed.
Occurrence Remarks: Common, but less so than small duckweed. Scattered individuals occur interspersed between the lilypads and wild rice beds.
