Habitat: Thick muck soil in and out of water <0.5 meters. Common assoc.: (Zizania palustris) northern wild rice, (Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani) softstem bulrush, (Sagittaria latifolia) common arrowhead.
Notes: Uncommon in low lying, undeveloped shoreline areas with muck soil; especially near the inlet bay and near the east boat landing in the main basin.
